Well, for better and worse, I’ve wiped the slate clean on 3+ years of this blog. Starting fresh seems kinda crazy, but I guess sometimes you’ve gotta raze the building if you want to build something decent.
What’s new? The site should be cleaner and smoother. I’ve taken away all sorts of pages, like videos and photos and video game music, as well as the pages where I try to sell you my various CDs. Videos, you can find on my youtube channel, which I admit I still need to make a little better. Video Game Music and Fractal Music have been given their own site, which is basically an audio portfolio for people who want to hire me for their projects. And I’ve made all of my completed “official” music (EPs and albums and singles) available for streaming, download, and purchase, on my bandcamp page, which is really where that kind of stuff belongs.
So what’s the difference between getting my music from this site, and getting my music from bandcamp? Well, on this site you’ll find music in progress – demos, working material, and unmastered final pieces – stuff I like and want to share, but not necessarily consider “official”. I’ll also re-release Ferns and The Blue Book here (mastered, final editions) because I do believe in the free distribution of music. So if you want to surf this site for my free music, be my guest! But I also have the “store”, because who am I to refuse if you want to give me some money.
Thanks for coming by, and for putting up with the recent outages. I hope you like my music! Please tell your friends.
